Meet Denise

From an early age, I’ve been intrigued by people, their experiences, how one’s experiences shape their existence and what drives people to make decisions. This innate interest led me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and later a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work.

I utilize a client-centered therapeutic approach, tailoring treatment to meet the individual. My practice pulls from a variety of treatment modalities including eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, psychoeducation, strengths-based/empowerment approaches, and psychodynamic therapies.

Over the course of my career I have worked in a variety of settings, including adolescent and adult mental health, collegiate counseling/behavioral health, community-based outpatient counseling, reproductive/medical counseling, inpatient mental health and international non-profit consultation.
